Home Remedies for Unwanted Hair Removal
1. Oatmeal Scrub:
Mix well 6-8 drops of lemon juice, ½ teaspoon oatmeal (coarsely ground) and 1 tablespoon honey, to form a paste. Apply it and let it stay on your face for 15-20 minutes. Gently rub your face for 4-5 minutes against the direction of hair growth. Afterwards, wash off with water. Use it two or three times a week. This scrub not only helps you get rid of undesired hair on your face, but also keeps your skin smooth, hydrated and soft while protecting it against harmful UV rays.
2. Turmeric Paste:
Mix 1-2 teaspoons turmeric powder in milk or water to prepare a paste. The paste’s consistency should be such that it can stay on your face. Apply and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with water. This remedy works better if you have very little or thin hair on your face.
Note – Use turmeric with other ingredients such as ground oats, rice flour or gram flour, if you have dense hair.
3. Gram Flour:
Another effective hair removal method is the use of gram flour paste. A mixture of gram flour, turmeric, and lemon juice or fresh cream can be applied to the skin. Once the paste has dried, a washcloth dipped in warm water can be used to rub it off in circular motions.
4. Egg White Mask:
A face mask made up of egg whites, sugar, and corn flour can be applied to the area where hair growth is not needed. Once dry, the mask can be rubbed off using a damp washcloth or wet fingers. This mask also acts like a scrub and has a cleansing action on the skin.
